This paper installation is to envisage an interpretation of Couchman’s new surroundings in the city of Taipei. To express the collecting of experiences and visual ideas with their attendant vulnerability of interpretation, understanding and misunderstanding. This all heightened for the first time with her baby in utero bringing particular ideas to the fore; good fortune, wishes and hopes for the future. These prove to be a landscape of Chinese mirrors and patterns; the animal mask pattern, tongue-spitting Kui dragon pattern, cloud pattern, coiling Hui snake pattern and more.

這件以紙張為主要媒材的裝置作品，勾勒出我對台北這個新環境的詮釋。在理解、誤解或個人詮釋中，傳達視覺上的靈感與經驗。擁有初次懷胎中寶寶的陪伴，使這一切體驗及感受都更加強烈，對未來有更深的期盼，期盼擁有好運、擁有祝福和希望。東方文化許多紋飾都具備了幸福或祥瑞的象徵。這件現地裝置作品由中華文化中的鏡子和紋飾等象徵組成：如動物面具紋飾、吐舌的翔龍紋飾、雲紋、捲曲的蛇紋及其他等等象徵。
